Cost
How much does a solar system actually cost in Nigeria?
Installed systems run from about ₦945,000 for a small flat to ₦3.4M for a full duplex, and ₦6M to ₦19M for shops, offices and light industry. Our prices are all-in: panels, mounting, cabling, inverter, battery, labour, commissioning and VAT. Use the estimator to get a figure for your own load in about twenty seconds.
Why is your price different from a quote I got in the market?
Two reasons usually. First, market quotes often exclude mounting, cabling, labour and VAT, which can be 18 to 25 percent of the real cost. Second, cheaper battery and inverter stock is frequently rebadged or under-rated. Ask any vendor for the serial number and the manufacturer authorisation before you pay.
Do you have anything cheaper than ₦945,000?
Not as a complete installed system. Below that point you are buying components rather than something that will actually carry a household through the night, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a system that disappoints. We do supply individual inverters from ₦280,000 if you are building your own.
Ordering, lead times and payment
Do you keep stock?
No, and that is deliberate. We are an authorised ROYPOW partner and we order your units from the manufacturer against your confirmed request. It means a lead time of about 4 to 6 weeks, and it also means we can hand you a serial number that resolves against the manufacturer register and stand behind a ten-year warranty. Vendors selling from a container this afternoon cannot always tell you where those units came from.
How long will I wait?
Typically 4 to 6 weeks from deposit to delivery in Lagos for residential systems, and 8 to 12 weeks for commercial and industrial scope. Installation itself takes one to four days depending on the system. If anything slips we tell you before you have to ask.
How do I pay, and how do I track my order?
Payment happens off the website, by transfer or card, against an invoice carrying our RC number. There is no checkout button and no account to create. Your reference code is your order number: quote it on WhatsApp at any point and we will tell you exactly where things are. We would rather you message a person than log into a portal.
What if the exchange rate moves while my order is in transit?
Your quoted price is held for 14 days from quotation. If the naira moves against us inside that window we absorb it. If it moves in your favour we requote downward. Outside that window we requote, and we show you the working.
Can I cancel after I have paid a deposit?
Before we place the factory order, yes, and the deposit is returned less any survey cost already incurred. Once the order is placed the units are built to your specification, so cancellation terms are set out on the invoice. We will always tell you which side of that line you are on before you pay.
Installation
How long does installation take?
One day for a Starter, two days for a typical three-bedroom flat, three to four days for a duplex, and one to three weeks for commercial and industrial scope. Lead time from order depends on your city; it is stated on every city page.
Do I need to be there during installation?
For the site survey, yes, or someone who knows the property. During installation an adult household member needs to be present for access and for the handover walkthrough. If you are abroad, we can run the whole process with a nominated person on site and send you a photo and video log at each stage.
Will you remove my generator?
That is your decision. Most residential customers keep the generator for the first few months and then sell it. For commercial sites we usually recommend keeping it as a genuine backup for a specific peak load, and we will size the system around that.
Warranty and service
What does the 10-year warranty actually cover?
It covers the battery modules and the inverter against manufacturing defect, per the manufacturer terms. Panels carry their own performance warranty, typically 25 years to 80 percent output. Our workmanship warranty on the installation is separate and runs for 24 months. The full text, including what voids it, is on the verification page.
What happens if the manufacturer leaves Nigeria?
Warranty claims transfer to us as the authorised partner for the remainder of the term, on the components we supplied. This is written into our terms rather than promised verbally, which is a question worth asking every vendor you speak to.
Who services the system after installation?
Our own engineers. On Power-as-a-Service and Lease-to-Own, scheduled maintenance and monitoring are included for the full term. On full purchase, the first two service visits are included and after that it is an optional annual contract.
Paying for it
How does Power-as-a-Service work?
You pay a fixed monthly amount, we own, install, maintain and monitor the system, and ownership transfers to you at the end of the 10-year term. There is no upfront payment. The total paid over the term is roughly three times the cash price, which covers the equipment, the cost of capital, ten years of service and monitoring, and replacement risk.
How long does the financing decision take?
The application takes about two minutes. A decision comes back within 48 hours. We will tell you clearly if we need anything further rather than leaving you waiting.
Can I pay from abroad?
Yes. We accept international card and bank transfer, and the beneficiary of the installation does not have to be the payer. You will get a photo and video log of the install and access to the monitoring app from wherever you are.
Counterfeits and verification
How do I know the equipment is genuine?
Every unit we supply has a serial number you can check against the manufacturer register, and we publish our manufacturer authorisation. Check the serial before you pay anyone, including us. Substandard solar imports are a documented problem in this market and the Standards Organisation of Nigeria has flagged it repeatedly.
How can I spot a fake inverter or battery?
Four quick checks. The serial number should be verifiable with the manufacturer, not just printed on a sticker. The weight should match the published specification; underweight almost always means undersized internals. The certification marks should be legible and traceable. And a battery advertised at 10kWh should state usable capacity and depth of discharge separately, because that is where the number is usually inflated.
